When Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets during the offseason, it led to quite a bit of excitement in the Tri-state area, as it looked like they had a very strong team for the first time in what seemed like forever.
But Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles on the team’s first offensive series of the season, and just like that, the excitement evaporated like a puddle on a hot summer day.
The four-time MVP has thrown himself into his rehab process, and per The Volume, former star cornerback Richard Sherman is amazed that just six weeks after surgery, he is taking part in some very limited football activities already.
“I’ve never seen nothing like it. At 6 weeks after surgery I was still on a scooter.”

Sherman was a terror in the secondary several years ago, and he was a very key part of a Seattle Seahawks team that won the Super Bowl in the 2013 season and came very close to repeating as world champs the following year.
He ruptured his Achilles during the 2017 campaign, and although he made a comeback and earned his sixth Pro Bowl selection in 2019, he was never quite the same.
The big question is obviously if Rodgers will be the same when he returns, which will presumably be next season.
He will turn 40 years of age on December 2, and as a general rule, one’s prognosis as far as bouncing back from a major injury is worse when he has lots of wear and tear.
If he is merely a shadow of his former self, it won’t be good enough for the Jets to win their first Super Bowl since the 1968 season.
