Carrier exited the game midway through the second period and did not return to the contest.
Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy had no further update on Carrier after the game, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic.
The 28-year-old forward had a career year with Vegas last season. He had 16 goals and 25 points in 56 games — both career highs. Carrier also added two goals and four assists in 18 playoff games to help the Golden Knights hoist the Stanley Cup.
Carrier had three shots on goal and two penalty minutes in 5:09 of ice time before leaving the game.
Also hurt in Tuesday’s game in Vegas was Kraken forward Brandon Tanev.
Brett Howden of the Golden Knights caught Tanev with a hit to the head in the neutral zone in the third period and the latter was slow to get up.
Howden was given a match penalty.
Tanev had 16 goals and 19 assists in 82 games for the Kraken last year.
Seattle coach Dave Hakstol had no further update on Tanev after the game.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Tyler Motte didn’t play in the third period of his team’s win over the Nashville Predators earlier Tuesday.
Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times said it appeared Motte was caught in the hand by a puck earlier in the game.
Lightning coach Jon Cooper said the team would know more on Motte on Wednesday.
Motte, 28, split last season between the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers, finishing with eight combined goals and 11 assists in 62 games.
The Lightning signed Motte to a one-year deal this off-season.
