The Las Vegas Raiders are struggling a bit this season, as they started 1-3, but they managed to pick up a 17-13 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.

Davante Adams had a quiet game against his former team, as he caught only four passes for 45 yards and was targeted just four times in total.

Former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers commented on the lack of targets for Adams, saying the wide receiver “is always open,” citing his ability to make contested catches, via “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Adams had been Rodgers’ favorite receiver during Rodgers’ last few years in Green Bay, but he was traded to the Raiders just prior to last season, and without him, Rodgers didn’t look like his old self last season, his last with the Packers.

Of course, Rodgers, who was sent to the New York Jets this offseason, is recovering from a torn Achilles he suffered on his first offensive series of the regular season.

Through five games, Adams has 442 receiving yards and three touchdowns, but the Raiders are just 29th in points and total yards on the season, and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has thrown more interceptions (seven) than touchdown passes (six) so far this year.

They had legitimate Super Bowl hopes last season after Adams’ arrival, but they instead finished just 6-11 following multiple blown leads and close losses.

Las Vegas will face the New England Patriots and the Chicago Bears over the next two weeks, giving them a real opportunity to get over .500, before visiting the resurgent Detroit Lions on October 30.
