Luck finally smiled on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 of the 2023 NFL season.

They scored their first victory of the season against the Carolina Panthers.

Things went differently for the Vikings in Week 4, though Kirk Cousins threw two interceptions, including a 99-yard pick-six by Sam Franklin Jr.

The quarterback also threw two touchdowns in that game, both to Justin Jefferson, who finished with 85 receiving yards.

However, it was the celebration after one of Jefferson’s scores that drew the NFL’s ire.

“The NFL fined Vikings WR Justin Jefferson $10,927 for the “too little” celebration following this touchdown catch,” CBS Sports’ lead NFL insider Jonathan Jones tweeted.

Many fans on social media were surprised by the fine and said that the league is becoming too soft.

With seven seconds left in the third quarter, Cousins found Jefferson who was in man coverage against D’Shawn Jamison in the end zone.

It was a 30-yard touchdown pass that padded Minnesota’s lead to 21-13.

But while Jefferson made the “too little” gesture for only a few seconds, it was enough for the NFL to issue a fine on the All-Pro wide receiver.

Jefferson and the Vikings will look to keep their offense rolling In Week 5 when they face the Kansas City Chiefs.
