The Chicago Bulls desperately need Lonzo Ball back on the court.
The talented point guard looked like a natural fit as soon as he arrived in the Windy City, but that mysterious knee injury has put the rest of his career in doubt.
Lonzo has already been ruled out to play this season, but he was still in attendance at Media Day.
There, he talked about his rehab process, stating that he’s already halfway through it, and even though he’s still got a ways to go to get back to full strength, he has plenty of confidence in the fact that he’ll play again someday (Via Chicago Bulls).
Lonzo on how he’s feeling:
“Pretty good. About halfway through the rehab process. Got a long ways ahead of me, but each week I’ve been progressing, I’m just trying to stay positive and take it day by day.

Truth be told, the fact that you have to clarify that you’ll play again at some point isn’t an encouraging sign; it’s entirely the opposite.
Doctors are still in awe as to why Lonzo has suffered so many setbacks and continues to experience pain in his knee, and some reports stated that he’s even having trouble standing up from a sitting position.
The Bulls were granted a disabled player exception to sign another player for this season, but some fans even thought they should force Lonzo to retire to get his salary off their books entirely.
Lonzo is only 25 years old and could still end up being an impactful NBA player, but being away from the game for so long, and given his history of injuries, it just feels like we may never see him again on the court.
