After missing the post-season for the first time since 2016, Aaron Boone is expected to return as manager of the New York Yankees in 2024, per SNY’s Andy Martino.

Boone has spent the past six seasons as the Yankees’ manager, posting a 509-361 record and making the playoffs every year before 2023. In the five post-season appearances under Boone, New York has gone 14-17 and made the ALCS twice.
In 2023, the Yankees finished 82-80 — New York’s worst finish since 1992 — coming in fourth place in the AL East.
There is one season remaining on Boone’s contract, as the 50-year-old will return to help the Yankees try to end what is now a 14-year World Series drought.
