The start of the 2023 NFL season has been rough for the Minnesota Vikings, to say the least, as the team was winless coming into their Week 4 showdown with Bryce Young and the winless Carolina Panthers.

Fortunately, something had to give in this game between these two struggling football teams, as both squads were desperately in need of a win to salvage their season.

In the first half, it was all Panthers, with this young team heading into halftime with a six-point lead, but then the Vikings were able to turn it on in the second half by scoring 14 unanswered points, which turned out to be the difference.

As usual, superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a solid game, as he caught six passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns.

Jefferson talked about what the team has gone through thus far this season and how it felt to get the team’s first win on Sunday via FOX Sports: NFL.

Even though the Vikings only have one win on the season, Jefferson hasn’t missed a beat in the first four games of the 2023 campaign, as today’s game was the first one in which he didn’t record over 100 yards.

In only four games thus far, Jefferson has already racked up 543 receiving yards to go along with three touchdowns.

The frustration must have been mounting for Jefferson as he’s on pace to have another huge year, but this time around, it comes without the wins, with the team’s chances of making the NFL playoffs dwindling.
