And while a source told E! News that Kelce and Swift had hung out once in New York before the game in Kansas City, Mahomes confessed he hadn’t met the Grammy winner prior to the showdown.
“She’s a tremendous singer, tremendous at everything she does,” he shared. “I haven’t got to meet her, but I mean I guess just if she ends up being with Travis, then I’ll probably get to meet her at some point. She seems like a good person so hopefully I get to meet her one day.”
The insider told E! News Sept. 21 that Swift and Kelce had been “texting and talking here and there,” but noted, “It’s been very low-key as he’s been in season.”
But even the team’s coach Andy Reid seems to be rooting for their possible love story, as he joked at the press conference, “I set them up.”
