The Irvine, Calif., native was drafted in the second round, 36th overall, by the Ducks in 2012 and became the first player from Orange County to play for the club.
Kerdiles made his NHL debut on Feb. 22, 2017, against the Boston Bruins. He also suited up in four playoff games with the Ducks that season and recorded one assist.
After playing two games with Anaheim during the following season, Kerdiles was traded to the Winnipeg Jets for Chase De Leo in June 2018. Kerdiles then signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets but played only three games with the AHL Manitoba Moose.
Kerdiles won back-to-back gold medals in 2011 and 2012 representing the United States at the IIHF under-18 world championship.
