Toronto Blue Jays top prospect Ricky Tiedemann had six strikeouts over four innings during his triple-A debut with the Buffalo Bisons on Friday night against the visiting Norfolk Tides.
Tiedemann, who was promoted from double-A New Hampshire on Tuesday, gave up one unearned run, two hits and two walks and left the game with Buffalo holding a 3-1 lead.

Ranked as the organization’s top prospect by MLB Pipeline, Tiedemann is also second among left-handed pitching prospects and 31st among all minor-league baseball prospects.
In 11 starts for New Hampshire and three additional starts on a minor-league injury rehab assignment, Tiedemann has struck out 76 batters in 40 innings and walked 13.
Tiedemann was selected in the third round, 91st overall, by the Blue Jays, in the 2021 MLB Draft.

The Golden West Junior College product made his professional debut last season for the Dunedin Blue Jays and began his career with a 3-0 record in the Florida State League.
In May 2022, Tiedemann was promoted to Vancouver, making eight starts for the Canadians before finishing the season in New Hampshire. He had an overall 5-4 record with a 2.17 ERA in 18 total starts in 2022, with 117 strikeouts in 78.2 innings pitched.
Tiedemann is also one of eight Blue Jays prospects who will represent the club in the upcoming Arizona Fall League.
