The Indiana Pacers have a young and interesting team heading into the new NBA season that has the ability to be competitive, if not reach the postseason.

Guard Tyrese Haliburton is a stud who made his first All-Star team and averaged 20.7 points and 10.4 assists a game last season, while center Myles Turner is coming off career-highs in scoring, rebounding, and overall shooting percentage.

The Pacers have another stud in sharpshooter Buddy Hield, but he is going into the last year of his contract, and his timeline may not match that of the team.

Per Legion Hoops, they’re now looking to trade him with just days to go before the start of training camp.

Hield, who is 30 years of age, averaged 16.8 points a game while hitting 42.5 percent from 3-point range on 8.5 attempts per contest last season.

Not only is he an outstanding outside shooter, but opposing teams have to stick to him defensively like glue, which opens up the floor for his teammates.

Hield was involved in trade rumors last season, and perhaps the most notable one had him going to the Los Angeles Lakers along with Turner for Russell Westbrook and draft capital.

He should be an attractive trade chip for a number of teams that may feel he can take them to the next level.

Reportedly, the reason Indiana is now looking to trade Hield is because they couldn’t agree with him on a contract extension.

He will now join a list of stars or good players that could be on the move within the next year or two, and that list could soon include big names such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, and Donovan Mitchell.
