Former NFL superstar Tom Brady set the bar pretty high for quarterbacks in the league, as he was able to endure the rigors of football on an annual basis for over two decades.
Brady was able to hold off Father Time while remaining one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for a long time and met his goal of playing until he was 45.
With Brady proving that it could be done while maintaining a high level of play on the field, he has inspired others to do the same or at least attempt to play well into their 40s.
New York Jets newcomer Aaron Rodgers might be the next in line to go head-to-head with Father Time as he admits that since being traded to the Big Apple and making some changes off the field, he thinks playing until he’s 45 is possible via Harrison Glaser of Take Flight Media.
“I think if you would’ve asked me five, six years ago, I would’ve said probably not. But with the change that’s happened & some of the changes off the field I’ve made, I definitely see that now as a possibility where before I just didn’t think I’d want to, honestly.” he said.

This is an interesting twist to the Rodgers saga, as it seemed he was limping to the finish line before the Jets acquired him during the NFL offseason.
Rodgers is the perfect example of a superstar athlete simply needing a change of scenery as he’s gone from one of the smallest markets in the league to the biggest, and it has done wonders for his well-being as well as his outlook for the rest of his career in the league.
However, things can change quickly if the Jets turn into a disaster over the course of the 2023 NFL season, which is entirely possible, but as of right now, Rodgers seems content and motivated to continue playing the game he loves.
