Coming off a 9-8 season in which they unexpectedly made the playoffs, the Seattle Seahawks are hoping to surprise people once again.
They may not be a Super Bowl-caliber team by any means, but they do have, at least on paper, a squad that should be very competitive.
One reason is their solid wide receiver tandem of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
Seattle also has an interesting undrafted rookie wideout by the name of Jake Bobo, and Metcalf seems to think so highly of Bobo that he says he has been asking the Duke University and UCLA product questions, per Gregg Bell.
DK Metcalf said he’s been taking a keen interest in #Seahawks undrafted rookie WR Jake Bobo: “I’m asking Bobo questions, because it looks like he’s open every play…He’s more detailed than I ever will be..Just a unique player, in my opinion, who’s going to make a lot of noise.”

Last season, as a member of the Bruins, Bobo recorded 817 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 13 contests.
At 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds, he would seem to have the potential to be a nice target in the red zone for quarterback Geno Smith, who had a whale of a 2022 campaign.
To that point, Smith had been regarded by most as nothing more than a solid backup who couldn’t start on a quality team.
But after the Seahawks traded away future Hall of Famer Russell Wilson, Smith won the starting job over Drew Lock and led the NFL in pass completion percentage while throwing for 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns while limiting himself to 11 interceptions.
Interceptions had previously been a problem for him — he had a total of 34 picks in his first two seasons while managing only 25 touchdown passes.
Perhaps if what Smith did last year was the real deal, he could help make Bobo into a viable NFL player.
