The Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to find themselves two years after the retirement of Ben Roethlisberger, and they seem to have an intriguing young roster that has potential.

They have a decent prospect at quarterback in Kenny Pickett, and a strong duo at wide receiver in Diontae Johnson and George Pickens, as well as a stud running back in Najee Harris.

On defense, T.J. Watt is healthy and looking to remind people how much of a beast he is.

Analyst Bart Scott said on “Get Up” that when Watt is healthy, he’s “the best defensive player in football.”

Watt was limited to 10 games last season because of a pectoral injury, and as a result, his stats — 5.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and 12 quarterback hits — were underwhelming.

But the year prior, he put up 22.5 sacks, which was the second straight year he led the NFL in that category, and it earned him the Defensive Player of the Year award and his third straight All-Pro First-Team selection.

The Steelers will have their hands full to start the season when they face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1.

If Watt isn’t the best defender in football when healthy, they will likely be facing the man who does deserve that honor — Nick Bosa.

Bosa is currently involved in contract negotiations, but plenty of people believe an agreement will be reached within the next few days, and he will thus be able to suit up against Pittsburgh.

In Week 2, Pittsburgh will have another tough contest when it goes up against the rival Cleveland Browns, but their schedule will become a bit easier leading up to their bye in Week 6.
