The NBA offseason has given many basketball fans a chance to watch some of their favorite players in a different atmosphere.

That is because the FIBA Basketball World Cup is taking place this summer.

It has already begun and there are plenty of NBA stars that are representing their countries.

One player who has stood out for Team Canada is Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

He emerged last year as an NBA superstar and has continued that into this offseason.

According to Bleacher Report, SGA put on a show for Team Canada in their win over Spain.

He scored 30 points, with seven assists, four rebounds, and three steals.

SGA carried his success from the NBA right into the World Cup.

Many fans continue to be impressed by what he is doing on the floor.

Gilgeous-Alexander has fans around the NBA talking about his play.

He continues to show why he earned the right to be first-team All-NBA last season.

The 25-year-old is averaging 23.8 points per game in the World Cup which ranks him fifth among all players.

Canada has a strong roster in this tournament as they also have NBA players R.J. Barrett and Dillon Brooks.

Those three were the leading scorers in this past game for Canada.

This was also a crucial win for Canada.

It allowed them to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Every NBA player wants the honor of representing their country in the Olympics.

Now the players from Team Canada will get that chance.
