The Los Angeles Lakers have had some of the greatest players in NBA history play for them at some point in their careers.

Throughout most of their history, they’ve had at least one of the best players in the league; that’s just the way they do business.

This time, however, they have a player who’s so big and popular that even some of his colleagues get starstruck when they get to meet him for the first time.

Recently, some South Bay Lakers — the Lakers’ G-League affiliate — opened up on their experience meeting LeBron James, and they were just like some children getting to meet their idol.

This speaks volumes of LeBron James’ longevity and unmatched durability in this league.

James has played at an elite level for two decades straight, and even though he’s obviously starting to look like a human being who can get tired and hurt, he’s still one of the best players on Earth as of 2023.

Two generations of hoopers have grown up watching him play and dominate, and he’s been in the league for longer than some rookies have been alive — literally.

To put it into context, he got to play against both Jabari Smith and Jabari Smith Jr, who was born just over a month before James was the No. 1 pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.

James’ talent, athleticism, work ethic, and determination to stay in the best shape possible year after year have led to one of the most accomplished careers in professional sports history.
