The start of the 2023 NFL season is less than two weeks away, with everyone talking about which teams in the AFC and NFC will be legitimate title contenders and playoff teams.
With the AFC being the presumed dominant conference this year, teams like the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Baltimore Ravens have gotten the bulk of the attention, with the NFC taking a backseat.
Although many anticipate solid seasons from the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and San Francisco 49ers, there aren’t a lot of other NFC teams that are really getting talked about at the moment.
This led Cris Collinsworth of NBC Sports to get asked by Rich Eisen which team in the NFC isn’t getting talked about enough ahead of Week 1.

Although it took a bit before Collinsworth could think of a team in the NFC that deserves more respect, he ultimately went with the new-look New Orleans Saints, who could be the team to beat in the NFC South division this season.
Even though the NFC South is expected to be one of the worst divisions in the league this season, the Saints have an ideal opportunity to control the division for many years to come, especially since they now have a capable veteran quarterback in Derek Carr.
Collinsworth believes that Carr will be key to the team’s success as he will “crack the code,” as he said, while the defense will be formidable enough to hold leads that the new star quarterback helps create.
