The concept of a “Big 3” has been tested in the NBA over the past several years.
The Boston Celtics had a fantastic trio of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce, with several other elites on the roster.
When LeBron James went to the Miami Heat, he joined Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade, hoping to find similar results.
The Golden State Warriors have utilized Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green in this capacity, yielding great success.
In a recent conversation with Mark Medina via Legion Hoops, Thompson’s father gave his thoughts on the Warriors.
“Klay, Draymond, and Steph should never wear another uniform,” Thompson said.
Mychal Thompson:
“Klay, Draymond and Steph should never wear another uniform… That also goes for Kevon Looney, too.”

He believes in the power of this “Big 3,” understanding it has been a big reason for the Warriors’ success.
In Thompson’s eyes, Curry, his son, and Green should all retire as career Warriors.
They have helped institute a winning culture for this organization, a staple of the NBA playoffs.
All three of these players have won four NBA Championships, with time left to add a few more to the trophy case.
However, time is running out, as these three aren’t getting any younger.
The Warriors added Chris Paul in the offseason, a veteran piece that could get them over the hump this year.
Their window is narrowly closing, and there’s no telling how long these players will stick around in the NBA.
Can all three of these players stay on the Warriors throughout their careers, as Thompson indicates?
And, will they be able to combine forces for at least one more title?
