The Arizona Cardinals haven’t found that much success in their history, but they can brag about having one of the single greatest wide receivers this game has ever seen.
Larry Fitzgerald was a synonym for consistency and efficiency throughout his 17-year career with the organization, and even though he wasn’t able to retire as a Super Bowl champion, he still earned the praise and respect of friends and foes.
That’s why dozens of NFL fans took to Twitter to wish him a happy 40th birthday on NFL Legacy’s post.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Larry thrived at the University of Pittsburgh before entering the league as the No. 3 pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
It didn’t take long before he made his presence felt within the offense, becoming one of the most dominant and spectacular route-runners in the league, regardless of who was throwing the football his way.
Fitzgerald owns countless records, both for the league and the Cardinals.
He went a whopping 256 consecutive games with at least one catch, was the oldest player to record 100 receptions, 1,000+ yards, and 5+ TD season, and also holds the record for the most seasons with 90+ receptions (8).
Often overlooked, he’s definitely one of the greatest wide receivers of all time.
