There is a tremendous amount of hype surrounding the New York Jets this season, and much of it is emanating from their blockbuster trade for future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.
That hype got even louder when they brought in running back Dalvin Cook, who has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last four seasons.
Cook and Breece Hall, who is entering his second season, should give the Jets a very potent backfield duo.
Cook himself appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” and said that the two will “be something to watch this season.”

Cook thinks very highly of the duo he has formed with Hall — in fact, he recently proclaimed himself and Hall the best running back duo in the league.
In each of the last four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, he ran for over 1,100 yards, and he scored a total of 43 rushing touchdowns during that time.
Hall, meanwhile, electrified fans in the Tri-state area in 2022 by putting together 463 yards and four touchdowns on the ground before a torn ACL and meniscus limited him to just seven games and two starts.
The two should be able to take lots of pressure off Rodgers, who is now 39 years of age and perhaps not quite what he was when he won the regular-season MVP as recently as 2020 and 2021.
The Jets, at least on paper, seem to have Super Bowl potential, but given the high expectations and Rodgers’ history of having issues with others in his organization, they also may have the possibility of combusting.
