Former NBA coach Sam Mitchell isn’t happy with recent comments from Giannis Antetkounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and he is letting it be known.
Speaking to SiriusXM NBA Radio, Mitchell said that Antetokounmpo is demanding too much while not giving enough.
“In the time to step up and be a star, you got quiet. What are you talking for now?” Mitchell heatedly asked.

Mitchell is referring to Antetokounmpo’s latest comment about being committed to the Bucks.
He made it seem as if he is only as committed to the team as they are to winning.
For the first time in ages, people are wondering aloud if Antetokounmpo could be contemplating a move to another team in the future.
Mitchell isn’t happy about this, mostly because he feels that the player didn’t give an MVP-worthy performance during the playoffs.
When Antetokounmpo was criticized for his defense during the postseason, Mitchell said that he blamed coaching choices instead of himself.
If Antetokounmpo is going to demand so much from his team, he needs to give a lot too, according to Mitchell.
Criticisms like this aren’t usually leveled at Antetokounmpo but Milwaukee’s recent postseason failure has opened him up to them.
He missed time because of an injury and when he came back, it was too late for his Bucks.
Even though they were the top team in the East, they were taken out in the first round by the Miami Heat.
Much of the blame for that was placed at the feet of head coach Mike Budenholzer, who was promptly fired.
But now Antetokounmpo is starting to hear about it too.
Will this influence any other comments he makes about his team in the near future?
