The New England Patriots are going to be an interesting team to watch this season.
Each year they seem to find themselves in contention and vying for a playoff berth.
But the success of the 2023 Patriots will be on the shoulders of quarterback Mac Jones.
He is in for a make-or-break season after performing poorly last year.
So the Patriots’ coaching staff wants to make sure Jones is at his best entering this year.
That is why they will coach Jones hard to make sure he is ready for the regular season.
According to Pro Football Talk, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick “chewed out” Jones in practice.
He did so because he was not happy with how the offense was performing.
Jones took full accountability for the matter saying, “It was my fault.”

The Patriots need Jones to play at a near-elite level this year.
Having to navigate through the AFC East will be no easy task.
The division got much tougher with Aaron Rodgers joining the New York Jets.
The Patriots made some interesting additions in the offseason to try and help Jones excel.
Bringing in JuJu Smith-Schuster was a good move as well as the signing of running back Ezekiel Elliott.
While the Patriots may not look like much on paper, they will rely on Jones to try and get them back to the playoffs.
