The New York Jets have one of the best teams in the league on paper.
They were almost a playoff team last season with Zach Wilson, Mike White, and Joe Flacco in their quarterback room, so adding Aaron Rodgers to that mix could definitely take them to a whole new level.
However, their offensive line — which was a major concern for all of last season — hasn’t improved at all, and that raises some questions about this team’s ability to get the job done.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Joy Taylor dug deep into some other issues that could prevent the Jets from fulfilling their potential.
For starters, she addressed the obvious concerns about their offensive line, stating that they were ranked No. 23 in the league and that Aaron Rodgers — who’s not a mobile quarterback — has already talked about being uncomfortable with that situation.

She then took a look at Robert Saleh’s record as a head coach, and while she admitted that she believes he has the potential to be a good coach in the league, that 11-23 record is far from impressive.
Last but not least, she talked about the fact that the Jets are still an organization that needs to figure out how to win, as they haven’t been good for most of their history.
Of course, this team looks poised to make a deep postseason run on paper, but paper doesn’t win football games.
Even so, it’s still early and they could make some moves to fix those issues, but maybe we should put the brakes on them until we actually see them on the field.
