The Los Angeles Lakers have had quite an NBA offseason, with the storied franchise making seemingly all the right moves to keep their roster intact and competitive for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Along with re-signing Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura, the Lakers secured the long-term future of superstar forward Anthony Davis by signing him to a lucrative contract extension.
Although the move has come with some criticism due to Davis’ struggles with staying healthy since joining the Lakers, the team remains confident in his ability to be a focal point for the franchise moving forward.
With the start of next season being a couple of months away, Davis was seen putting in work in the team’s practice facility while sporting a new hairstyle and a new physique, via the Lakers’ Twitter account.

Clearly, Davis has made a point of it to bulk up during this NBA offseason, which is something he did a couple of years ago.
Although he didn’t have much success with the bulkier physique, Davis seemingly felt compelled to give it another shot in an effort to deal with the rigors of an 82-game regular season.
If Davis is locked in and able to stay healthy throughout the upcoming season, the Lakers have a great shot at contending for a title, as they will be one of the deepest and most talented teams in the league.
