The New England Patriots were a true dynasty when led by legendary quarterback Tom Brady.
He played there for 20 years and led them to six Super Bowl titles.
But once Brady left in 2020, the Patriots needed to find his successor.
That turned out to be first-round pick Mac Jones.
He was selected No. 15 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft and has since been the team’s starter.
No one thought Jones could ever be as good as Brady.
But the expectations for him were still sky-high.
After these past two seasons in New England, Jones never publicly opened up about following in Brady’s footsteps.
According to NBC Sports Boston, reporter Andrew Callahan was excited to finally see Jones open up about Brady recently.

Jones showed plenty of respect and admiration towards Brady in his comments.
According to SNF on NBC, Jones said, “Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever play in the NFL.”

Just about every quarterback that has played with or after Brady has a similar sentiment.
But, all the eyes in New England have turned to Jones, hoping he can lead them back to the promised land.
After an impressive rookie season that saw the Patriots make the playoffs, Jones struggled in year two.
His stats took a hit as did the team’s record.
This could end up being a make-or-break season for him in New England.
Unfortunately for the Patriots, they play in what might be the toughest division in football.
So getting back to the playoffs will be something they have to earn.
