The Los Angeles Lakers have had the most talent in the league over the course of NBA history.
But as many talented and unique players they’ve had, one seems to stand alone in terms of uniqueness and impact, and that guy is Magic Johnson.
That’s why countless fans took to Twitter to wish the legendary point guard a happy 64th birthday.

There has never been a player like Magic Johnson.
Perhaps, LeBron James is the one who comes the closest, given his elite playmaking and passing skills, size, strength, athleticism, and basketball IQ.
But in terms of crafty and spectacular assist and the chaos revolving around his unpredictable style, chances are we’ll never get to see another Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson.
Magic’s career was cut short due to his HIV diagnosis, but he still managed to play long enough to be considered by most to be the greatest point guard in the history of this game.
His size allowed him to play one through five — and he did it — and he helped the Lakers put an end to the Boston Celtics’ dominance and win five NBA championships.
The Lakers would’ve never become the juggernaut they are nowadays in terms of team value or success if not for Magic Johnson.
And he was also one of the first to lay the blueprint for what it meant to be a successful athlete off the court, getting countless endorsement deals and business endeavors even long before retirement.
