The Pittsburgh Steelers have to be excited about the future of their franchise.

They found their franchise quarterback in Kenny Pickett in the first round of last year’s draft.

In that same draft, they were able to address the wide receiver position by selecting George Pickens.

It looks like year two for both players could be breakout seasons.

They got off to a great start in the preseason by connecting on a 33-yard touchdown pass.

This video by Hayden Winks shows the accuracy of Pickett and the yards after catch ability of Pickens.

This is a great start to the preseason for the Steelers’ offense.

Last year, Pickett had some moments of brilliance but struggled to find success for the most part.

According to Alan Saunders, Pickens was not surprised by how good Pickett looked in this game.

“That’s what he’s been doing.” Pickens said.

The Steelers are not a team many people expect to compete for a playoff berth this year.

That has more to do with how tough the AFC is than anything else.

Pittsburgh is still a young team on offense and might experience some growing pains this year.

But even in their worst years they always find a way to remain competitive.

The Steelers have not had a losing season since the 2003 season.

There is no reason to think that will change this year.

We have seen many players take a major leap in year two of their careers.

All of Pittsburgh hopes that will happen with Pickett and Pickens this year.
