The NBA offseason may be upon us but that does not mean important games are not being played.
Some of those important games are for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup.
The World Cup is set to begin on August 25th and Team USA is expected to compete for the gold medal.
As expected, Team USA has a strong roster but is still trying to find their chemistry in practice.
The main Team USA roster lost a couple of scrimmages to the USA select team.
That led to head coach Steve Kerr making a lineup change.
According to NBACentral, Kerr moved Anthony Edwards into the starting lineup.
That move led to them sweeping the select team in scrimmages.

Edwards joined the starting lineup that included Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Brandon Ingram, and Jaren Jackson Jr.
That is a quality starting lineup and one that should lead Team USA to success.
It will be interesting to see how quickly they can build chemistry and be prepared for the World Cup.
Basketball has turned into a global game and there are plenty of talented teams around the world.
The team that wins the gold medal will certainly have to earn it.
It will be fascinating to see this team perform on the world stage.
Many of their players are representing Team USA for the first time.
But winning the World Cup is still the expectation.
