Superstar guard James Harden is currently still a player on the Philadelphia 76ers roster, as general manager Daryl Morey hasn’t been able to come up with a deal he likes to trade the former NBA MVP elsewhere before next season.

With the clock ticking and training camp and preseason not that far off, it’ll be interesting to see what the 76ers do moving forward, as they won’t want to have Harden on the roster once those two things get underway.

Apparently, even though they used to have a close relationship, Morey and Harden no longer have a relationship, which might also be why this process is taking so long, according to Mike Scotto of Hoops Hype.

Along with Morey and Harden no longer seeing eye-to-eye, new head coach Nick Nurse isn’t all that concerned about the situation, as all he cares about is how the roster looks come playoff time, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer via Sean Barnard of The Philly Sports Network.

Much like fellow superstar Damian Lillard and his situation with the Portland Trail Blazers, the 76ers don’t seem to be in a rush to trade Harden, as Morey and company could wait until the last minute to get the best deal possible.

Although Harden wants to play for the Los Angeles Clippers, it’s uncertain where he might land, as the team seems intent on getting the best trade package back in order to remain a legitimate title contender in the Eastern Conference.

Only time will tell how this pans out, and it might not go well for Harden.
