Training camps are well-underway in the NFL.
With slightly more than a month until the regular season begins, a lot of roster questions remain unanswered.
There are also several of the league’s elite athletes that are missing from camp, hoping to sign an extension before the season starts.
For veteran players, sitting out of camp is a $50,000 daily fine, as Adam Schefter has recently highlighted.
However, he also indicated that for Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers, since he’s still on his rookie deal, these fines are rescindable.
Nick Bosa’s $50,000 per-day fines for missing training camp are rescindable by the 49ers because he still is on his rookie contract, per source.
Zack Martin and Chris Jones are not on rookie contracts and are incurring non-rescindable $50K per-day fines. So, no rush for Bosa.

Zack Martin and Chris Jones are not on rookie contracts, therefore they are incurring non-rescindable $50k per-day fines.
The 49ers still have time to craft together a contract for Bosa, especially if these fines can be retracted.
Bosa has only been in the NFL for four seasons but has already received significant accolades.
He won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2022 and won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2019.
Bosa has been a staple of the 49ers’ defense since he was drafted, a main reason for their consistent success.
Despite this dominance, however, the 49ers still haven’t moved forward with a contract extension.
His contract will likely be one of, if not the largest in the league among linebackers.
