Ever since the Kansas City Chiefs made the bold move to replace veteran quarterback Alex Smith with second-year man Patrick Mahomes, the team has taken off and become one of the best squads in the league year after year.
Mahomes has seen nothing but success after taking over for Smith, and his legacy continues to grow, with a lot of people starting to talk about a dynasty brewing in Kansas City following the team’s second Super Bowl title under head coach Andy Reid.
Even though the Chiefs are a well-round team and by no means a one-man show, Mahomes has been incredibly successful during his short time in Kansas City while excelling in the postseason resulting in two rings in his trophy case.
One incredible stat that doesn’t even seem real is that Mahomes has yet to play a true road game in the 13 playoff games that he has played in so far, according to NFL on ESPN.

That’s a pretty remarkable stat considering the team had to put themselves in that situation in order to have the privilege of being the home team more often in the postseason.
It’ll be interesting to see if that trend continues moving forward for Mahomes and company, with the team playing for bragging rights as a potential dynasty moving forward.
Coming into the 2023 campaign, the Chiefs will have a target on their backs once again as the defending Super Bowl champion, and the AFC is seeing a big boost in talented teams, especially on the offensive side of the football.
