CB2 And Surf Lodge Collaborate

Known for its cool yet laid-back vibes, the Surf Lodge Hotel and Restaurant in Montauk is one of the hottest spots in the Hamptons. One of the reasons for this, according to Jayma Cardoso, cofounder, and creative director, is that the space is changed up every single year “No two summers are ever the same; we are constantly reinvigorating the property, from the design and cultural elements to our menu, music, and everything in between, with the goal of providing the best possible experience for anyone that visits us.”

This year, the hotel collaborated with CB2 to refresh The Sand Bar. The best part of this collaboration is that you don’t need a reservation to enjoy it. So whether you live in Wainscott or Wisconsin, it’s easy to re-create the Surf Lodge look anywhere. Here’s what you need to know about the partnership.

Collaborating With CB2

Cardoso was incredibly excited to collaborate with such a big name in the design industry. She tells me, “As a design enthusiast, it was truly my dream collaboration. I love the brand and, for years, have been incorporating their furniture into the property as well as my home, so partnering with them felt super organic and, really, a perfect fit for The Surf Lodge.”

From lounge chairs to tables and a selection of accessories, this line which was designed by Ross Cassidy, perfectly reflects the vibe of both brands.

“The Sandbar at The Surf Lodge is an exciting development for CB2 as it marks our official foray into lifestyle experiences, allowing customers to fully interact with our product and brand outside of a store and home environment,” says CB2 President Ryan Turf. “As one of the most sought-after destinations for a discerning crowd, The Surf Lodge proved to be a perfect partner to bring our elevated designs straight to the beach.”

The Collection

The line features so many interesting and unique pieces. For example, The Remo Rattan Wingback Lounge Chair is of Cardoso’s favorites. “I really love the Remo Rattan Wingback Lounge Chairs. They have this great sculpture element to them that adds a cool dimension to the beach.” Made from all-weather wicker with an aluminum frame, these chairs are fun and bold.

The Pine Chaise Lounges are another favorite of Cardoso’s and have been incredibly popular with guests. “They provide the perfect spot to take in the sunset.”

The Remo Travertine and Rattan Outdoor Side Table is a fabulous complement to the seating in the collection. Ideal for drinks, books, or sunscreen, the brown travertine top is sleek and sophisticated. The rattan gives this table a current yet on-trend aesthetic that can be enjoyed for years to come.

In addition to larger furniture pieces, the collaboration features a variety of accessories that give any modern outdoor space a stylish refresh. “Ross is also truly a master at prints, with several of the pillows and towels we have in the space stemming from his own original sketches, that add the perfect pop of color,” says Cardoso. One great example of this is Bronte Recycled Velvet Outdoor Throw Pillow. Available in Black, Camel Brown, Green, and White, it’s modern yet warm. With piped edges, it’s very thoughtfully designed.

Surf Lodge is open through Labor Day.
