Why Drybar’s Alli Webb Is Ready to Share Her “Unexpected Story”

There are some things even a good blowout can’t fix. Just ask Alli Webb

In her new book The Messy Truth: How I Sold My Business For Millions But Almost Lost Myself, due out Nov. 14, the Drybar co-founder details what she calls the “incredible high highs and the devastating lows” of being an entrepreneur. Though her popular chain of salons—a favorite of celebs like Zooey Deschanel, Jennifer Garner and Gwyneth Paltrow—found overnight success in the 2010, her personal life dramatically imploded when her marriage fell apart and her teenage son unexpectedly entered rehab.

The personal blows lead Alli to get down to the root of her problems and rebuild her life strand by strand.

“I never could have dreamt of the success we achieved, and I have always felt compelled to share my unexpected story…to help others get a peek behind the curtain of the good, the bad and the ugly,” she exclusively told E! News of her memoir. “Life is messy. There’s no denying that and my story is no different. It’s a beautifully messy and authentic underdog story.”
