The Portland Trail Blazers have allegedly told the Miami Heat to present their best offer for Damian Lillard.
And the Heat have but the Blazers weren’t fond of it.
This has led to one of the biggest trade stalemates in recent NBA history.
Portland reporter Aaron Fentress thinks they should accept what is being offered.
Speaking on Blazer Focused, via Dru on Twitter, Fentress said that the Heat have actually compiled a decent package for the Blazers:
“If [Blazers] end up with Tyler Herro and three firsts, I’m sorry Blazer fans but that’s a legit deal. Whether you like it or not, the Blazers played themselves…[Dame’s] made it one team & one team only, so here you are. Deal with it…Three firsts and Herro is absolutely fair”

The latest rumors have indeed said that the Heat are willing to give up Herro and three first-round picks.
But apparently, Portland’s front office wants more.
That means that Miami would have to get a third team involved in the potential trade and complicate things even more.
But the Blazers aren’t in any rush to make this happen, so they’re willing to sit and wait as long as it takes.
Fentress is now one of many people who are urging Portland to accept this deal, even if it isn’t as ideal as they wanted.
They are in a tough situation because their biggest star has demanded a trade to just one team.
That means they aren’t able to shop him around or weigh options from others.
They are stuck dealing only with the Heat and this is the best that team can offer.
Fentress says is a pretty strong offering, too.
It might not give the team A-list talent right away but it will end this chapter and set them up for success in the future.
However, his words – and the words of others – aren’t having an impact on Portland’s front office.
