Patrick Mahomes is entering his seventh season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023.
He’s not only in search of his third career Super Bowl victory but is also seeking a third league MVP award as well.
Many around the league have touted Mahomes as the best quarterback in the league, given his consistent dominance.
In a recent segment of ‘NFL Total Access,’ Patrick Clayborn indicated that, if Mahomes stays healthy, he could pass Tom Brady as the “GOAT.”

Clayborn did provide a caveat to this, as he believes Brady’s record of seven Super Bowls will never be touched.
It took Mahomes six seasons to win two Super Bowls, but Brady had won three by his fifth season.
However, after that fifth season, Brady had a ten-season gap between titles.
If Mahomes can keep his current pace and stay healthy, he could feasibly surpass Brady in this area as well.
Of course, this would require him to play into his late 30s, which isn’t out of the realm of possibilities.
To this point in his career, Mahomes has led the league in passing touchdowns on two separate occasions and led the league in passing yards in 2022.
His 75 career wins are already an impressive total, and he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
While he has a long way to catch Brady in many categories, there is a strongly held belief that, if anyone is going to surpass Brady, it’ll be Mahomes.
When all is said and done, which quarterback will take the title of ‘GOAT’?
