The Miami Heat are exploring all avenues to try and get their hands on Damian Lillard.
Lillard has openly expressed his desire to play for the Heat, but the Portland Trail Blazers have been less than impressed with what the Heat has had to offer them.
Notably, Tyler Herro is currently the Heat’s most valuable trade asset, but the Blazers don’t want to take him or his contract.
With that in mind, Mike Scotto of HoopsHype (via NBA Central) reports that the Toronto Raptors could enter the mix as a potential third team in a trade to land the Kentucky product.

The Brooklyn Nets have also reportedly shown an interest in taking Herro away from the Heat, and Miami would need at least one first-round pick in return to make a more appealing offer for Lillard.
Herro has reportedly told people close to him that he expects to be traded soon.
However, Blazers GM Joe Cronin admitted that it could take months before anything happens, as they are in no rush to move on from Lillard and won’t take less than what he is worth.
Whatever the case, it seems like both things are imminent: Lillard will play for the Heat, and Herro will play somewhere else; it’s just a matter of when and where.
And that might be just what he needs to take a leap forward and burst out as the dominant three-level scorer most people thought he could be when he first made it to the league.
