Alex Galchenyuk was arrested on July 9 on a number of different charges including private property hit and run, disorderly conduct, failure to obey, resisting arrest and threatening or intimidating, the Scottsdale Police Department confirmed in an email to Sportsnet Thursday.
The Scottsdale Police Department confirmed to Sportsnet that for the hit and run, “it was only property damage with no injuries.”
The Athletic’s Katie Strang was the first to report the news.

According to Strang, a jail official said Galchenyuk was booked into the city jail on the evening of July 9, then released the following day on his own recognizance.
The news of Galchenyuk’s arrest comes on the same day that the Arizona Coyotes placed him on unconditional waivers, seeking to terminate his contract.

The 29-year-old signed a one-year, two-way deal with Arizona as a free agent on July 1 — a mere 12 days ago.
Galchenyuk, who was born in Milwaukee to Belarusian parents, played just 11 games with the Colorado Avalanche last season and didn’t register a point. He was traded before free agency opened from Colorado to the Nashville Predators for Ryan Johansen.
Galchenyuk was drafted with the third-overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He played six seasons in Montreal, including a 30-goal season in 2015-16.
