The first four seasons of Zion Williamson’s NBA career have been frustrating, as he has had lots of trouble staying healthy.
He has had numerous injuries that have limited him to just 114 games, and he has been subjected to criticism from people who feel he lacks work ethic and dedication.
But Williamson’s troubles didn’t prevent him from showing up to NBA Summer League in Las Vegas to show his support for the New Orleans Pelicans‘ squad.

Williamson was the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, and many felt he had superstar potential, not to mention a unique set of skills.
At 6-foot-8 and over 280 pounds, he is a big load and an immovable object in the paint, but he also has ball-handling skills and even a little bit of a mid-range jumper.
That combination of skills led some to compare him to Hall-of-Fame forward Charles Barkley, who had a similar build and game.
When Williamson has been healthy, his ability has been undeniable — he has averaged 25.8 points a game on 60.5 percent field goal shooting so far in his pro career.
He missed all of the 2021-22 campaign because of a Jones fracture in his right foot, and this past season he played in just 29 games before a hamstring injury shelved him for the rest of the year.
The Pelicans have an interesting and exciting roster with Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum that some feel could contend in the Western Conference if healthy.
But staying healthy has thus far been extremely elusive for the former Duke University standout.
