Sepp Straka turned in an incredible round on Sunday, finishing with a 9-under, 62 in the final round of the John Deere Classic.
Straka started the day four shots back of 54-hole leader Brendon Todd before his incredible round catapulted him into the lead.
The 30-year-old pro from Vienna, Austria had a blistering opening nine that saw him shoot 7-under with five birdies and one eagle. He had a nice stretch of four straight birdies on the back nine before a double bogey on 18 ruined any chances of hitting the sub-60 mark.
Eleven players have had a round of 59, while Jim Furyk is the only golfer to ever shoot 58.
The Austrian started his round much earlier than the leaders, so he will now have to sit and wait before he knows if he will head home with a trophy for his efforts.
He had a two-shot lead when he finished his round.
If Straka does win the John Deere Classic, it will be just the second PGA Tour win of his career.
