After an incredible career in the NFL as one of the best defensive players in the history of the league and a successful career in MLB as one of the few multi-sport athletes, Deion Sanders has become a head coach in college football and looks to leave his mark on the sideline in the same way he left it on the gridiron.
Following a successful stint as head coach of Jackson State, leading the team to a record of 27-6 during his time with the team, Sanders has taken his coaching talents to the University of Colorado and has already reshaped the program the way he wants.
The Hall of Famer’s latest move to get the Buffaloes back on track next season is to add some more football knowledge to the sideline in Boulder.
According to Carl Reed Jr. of CBS Sports, Sanders has brought in former NFL Assistant Coach of the Year Pat Shurmur.
Veteran NFL Coach Pat Shurmur has been on Campus at Colorado this week, per source.
He is expected to join the staff as an analyst moving forward.
Shurmur brings over 20 years of NFL coaching experience and was the AP NFL Assistant Coach of The Year in 2017.

The 58-year-old Shurmur has a lot of experience on the highest level of coaching football, as he spent time with six teams in the NFL either as a head coach, offensive coordinator, or tight ends and offensive line coach.
It seems that Sanders is taking no chances as he tries to turn around the University of Colorado program, which has struggled to put together a winner for quite some time.
Despite some health scares off the field recently, Sanders is determined to be successful at the highest level of college football, and all signs point to him accomplishing that goal.
