The Portland Trail Blazers are currently fielding calls for Damian Lillard.

The superstar guard has let his team know that he wants to be traded to the Miami Heat and the Miami Heat only, but he doesn’t have a no-trade clause.

That’s why the Blazers have gone on record to state that they’ll only trade him to the highest bidder, perhaps in an attempt to drive his value up, even despite the fact that he only wants to play for that one team.

With that in mind, sports analyst Joy Taylor claimed that none of the other teams reportedly in play for Lillard are the right destination for him.

Per Taylor, all teams have question marks, while the Heat are fresh off a trip to the NBA Finals and only need another scorer to get over the hump once and for all.

The Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and even New Orleans Pelicans have all reportedly asked about Lillard, and Jayson Tatum is allegedly trying to recruit him to join him with the Boston Celtics.

On paper, the Blazers don’t owe him anything and shouldn’t do him any favors, as they only have to think about what’s best for them as an organization.

But what works on paper doesn’t always work in real life, and they might have to come to terms with the idea of letting Dame go to his preferred destination before he forces his way out and his trade value starts getting lower by the day.
