The Damian Lillard-saga seems to be finally coming to a resolution.

Lillard’s news has taken over the NBA in recent weeks as people wondered what his future holds.

After spending the last 11 seasons in Portland, Lillard has finally requested a trade from the team.

The Trail Blazers will honor his request as they are accepting trade offers from opposing teams.

Colin Cowherd thinks this is a good move for Lillard and the Blazers.

He said that “Dame has earned a bigger stage.”

Playing in Portland his entire career has made Lillard one of the most underrated players in the league.

They have always been a small market and have not won much during Lillard’s career.

One team that seems to be the heavy favorite to land Lillard is the Miami Heat.

They have been looking for a second star and Lillard could take that role.

A trio of Lillard, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo would be one of the best in the NBA.

Miami is also a major market where Lillard can get more star treatment.

The Heat are coming off an NBA Finals appearance, a place where Lillard has never been.

He could be the star they need to push them over the top and get Lillard the elusive championship.

The free agency period is just getting started in the NBA and many dominoes are yet to fall.
