The brief James Harden era for the Philadelphia 76ers may have come to an end after just one-and-a-half seasons.

The veteran guard will reportedly pick up his team option for the 2023-24 season, and the 76ers will look to trade him to another team.

Many are assuming that Harden has played his final game for the team, and there have been rumors that he wants to go back to the Houston Rockets.

This fan cannot understand why Harden wants to leave a contending team such as the Sixers to play for a non-playoff team such as Houston.

This fan feels Harden doesn’t care about winning the NBA championship that has always alluded him and that he only cares about the money.

Harden lost in the NBA Finals in 2012 as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games to LeBron James’ Miami Heat, and it is the closest he has ever come to winning it all.

This fan thinks he may be headed to the Los Angeles Clippers in an attempt to form a superteam.

The Clippers are rumored to be one of the teams interested in trading for the 2018 regular-season MVP.

Harden is originally from the Los Angeles area, so such a move would make sense in that regard.

The guard has been somewhat in decline over the last couple of years, but he is still a viable All-Star level player who could help take a team to the next level.

With him, the Sixers finished with the third-best record in the Eastern Conference this season, only to blow a 3-2 series lead to the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs.
