The Miami Heat missed out on Bradley Beal last week, leaving the door open for the Phoenix Suns to take the talented shooting guard.

After that move was completed, the Heat are reportedly focused on landing Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Lillard is still confident that his team can assemble a competitive team ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season.

On the other hand, plenty of teams are waiting to see if, or when he demands a trade.

The Heat are one of those teams, and superstar Jimmy Butler appears to be doing some recruiting work on social media.

It’s common for Butler to share the music he listens to on Instagram, but the timing is interesting in this situation.

The veteran swingman would like to share touches with Lillard, one of the best point guards in the league at this moment.

Hours after Lillard appeared on Instagram Live listening to ‘Welcome To Miami,’ Butler responded with a song.

Pat Riley recently admitted that, right now, Butler will need to pitch other players to join him in Miami.

After a magical season in which they fell short of the NBA championship, the Heat are ready to make a splash and land someone to help Butler and Bam Adebayo make that final step.

Lillard has been mentioned as the perfect candidate for that, but he’s reluctant to leave the Blazers right now.

After his team kept the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, he’s taking some time to think about the future, and the Heat are paying close attention to this situation.
