The NBA Draft is the occasion during which teams turn their focus to the future and have hopes that the player or players they choose will help them get to the next level.

But beyond basketball, it is also heartwarming and inspiring to see the men taking in the draft achieve their lifelong dream of playing in the NBA.

In addition, these men, many of whom come from humble beginnings, become instant millionaires, and many of them are very family oriented, which leads to them blessing their loved ones with cars, houses, and overall financial security.

For Victor Wembanyama, the massively hyped French phenom, it was a day that he has anticipated for a long time, and he was extremely pleased when the San Antonio Spurs officially made him the No. 1 pick on Thursday.

The center has been described by many as a generational talent and the greatest draft prospect since LeBron James in 2003.

In fact, some feel Wembanyama is the greatest draft prospect of all-time, period.

He has a set of guard-like skills that are just about unprecedented for a man his height, to go along with his immense rim-protecting skills and his solid ability on the boards.

If and when he becomes a good 3-point shooter and develops a legitimate back-to-the-basket game, the rest of the league could be in massive trouble.

Wembanyama has already lucked out by getting drafted by the Spurs, as he will be coached by the legendary Gregg Popovich, the man who guided Hall-of-Fame big man Tim Duncan to five NBA championships.
