When the 2022 NFL season started, not too many people were expecting the New York Giants to do anything significantly positive.
But they began the schedule by winning six of their first seven games, raising eyebrows across the league, and after making the playoffs, they upset the Minnesota Vikings, who had won 13 games, in the Wild Card round.
Still, many are counting out the Giants for this coming season.
But linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux likes the fact that they’re underdogs for the 2023 campaign, as noted by the NFL on Twitter.

New York has spent this offseason giving out lucrative contracts to quarterback Daniel Jones and defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, and they’re currently figuring out what to do about star running back Saquon Barkley.
Barkley is currently under their franchise tag, but they only have a few more weeks to come to terms with him on a new contract.
They haven’t made any Earth-shattering acquisitions, but they are hoping that tight end Darren Waller, whom they acquired from the Las Vegas Raiders via trade, will give them some much-needed juice in their passing game.
Last season, the Giants were just 24th in passing touchdowns and 26th in passing yards, and they could use some more weapons on offense in order to help Jones develop and reach the next level as a passer.
The NFC East will be tougher, as the Dallas Cowboys have made some big additions that could vault them to the top of the division, and the defending conference champion Philadelphia Eagles aren’t going anywhere.
The Giants will have to call on their grit once more in order to make the playoffs again.
