One could argue that Patrick Peterson has had a more than decent career in the National Football League.
Not many players would look to embrace a new challenge in their careers at this point, but he’s not like most players.
Peterson joined the Pittsburgh Steelers knowing that he might have to change his role in the secondary, but he’s actually looking forward to that.
In a recent appearance on The Jim Rome Show, the veteran DB said that he’s still looking for his first Super Bowl, which is why he was motivated to join a team like the Steelers, knowing they’re going to push him to the edge.

Peterson also said that he’s always looking to get better, even at this point in his career, and the Steelers are going to demand something new from him.
The veteran CB has spent most of his career lined up outside, but he’s going to replace Cam Sutton in Pittsburgh, meaning he could be used in the slot and even as a safety.
Peterson also gave Mike Tomlin some credit for motivating him, adding that he knows his coach actually believes he can play for many more years at an elite level.
Needless to say, Tomlin and the Steelers know one thing or two about dominant defenses, and Peterson has been one of the best at his craft since he first entered the league.
It’s nice to see a veteran trying to get out of his comfort zone, and it’ll be interesting to see how this experiment pans out.
