Fans of the Oakland Athletics have had it rough lately.
However, Tuesday night was a special night at the Oakland Coliseum as nearly 30,000 fans showed up to the ballpark as a part of the “reverse boycott.”
This was done in an effort to keep owner John Fisher from moving the team to Los Vegas.
The A’s began to tank at the beginning of last season, trading off assets such as Sean Murphy, Matt Olson, Matt Chapman, and Chris Bassitt.
Now, matters are worse.
But even if the A’s end up moving to Vegas, the fans in Oakland made sure to get their money’s worth as “sell the team” chants broke out.

Fans of the A’s have simply had enough of all the shenanigans.
The ownership group has failed to add pieces to the roster to give fans the contender that they deserve, continually using the tired excuse about the team playing in a “small market.”
Ultimately, most people with any knowledge of baseball know that the term “small market” is often a pejorative term and that even in smaller markets, owners have plenty of resources to make sure that they can build a contending team.
However, Fisher has failed to do that for the A’s, and the idea of moving the team to Las Vegas clearly was the last straw for the fans, who made sure to let their voices be heard at the Coliseum on Tuesday night.
Oakland beat the Tampa Bay Rays by a final score of 2-1 and won their seventh straight game.
