After this season some big clubs are looking to make big signings to improve this year’s results
With Manchester City’s win in the Champions League, the free agency market is starting, with a lot of disappointments from the big clubs around Europe the market is going to see a lot of important signings
Real Madrid
Los Blancos come from a difficult season, ending second place with 10 points behind their rival Barcelona. The team from the Spanish capital won the Spanish Cup against Osasuna and lost in the Champions League semi-finals against Manchester City. Real Madrid faces some important exits as Ballon d’Or from 2022 Karim Benzema leaves the team to go to play at Al Ittihad in the Saudi Football League. Two other important exits are local player Marco Asensio that has been in the club since 2016 winning 3 Champions League, and last but not least Eden Hazard, a Chelsea legend who only played 76 (7 goals and 9 assists) games in four seasons winning the Champions League last year. Madrid market has already started on June 8th Borussia Dortmund announced that Jude Bellingham would leave the club this summer, and Madrid’s offer of 100 million Euros has already been accepted by the German team and the English star will join Madrid on the first of July. Another English star has been rumoured with Real Madrid, Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been rumoured but the Spanish team seems to be the best fit for the ‘Spurs’ captain.

FC Barcelona
The Spanish champion didn’t have a good European season as they finished 3rd in their champions league group and lost against Manchester United in the first round of the Europa League. The Catalans have tried to sign again the Argentinian star Leo Messi but they weren’t able to sign him as he signed with Inter Miami after a few seasons in Paris. Busquets and Jordi Alba two club legends have announced that they will leave the club at the end of June without knowing who will sign them. The left-back position is already filled with Marcos Alonso and Alejandro Balde but that midfield position has had a lot of rumours about who is going to be the starter next season. Frank Kessie already in the club hasn’t had the minutes and level expected from the coach Xavi Hernandez and Barcelona might be searching for a substitute for the Spanish legend. Kimmich is the leading player for that spot but the expensive cost of the German midfielder could make the trade impossible. another possible player is Martin Zubimendi basque player for Real Sociedad whose cost would be way lower than Kimmich’s. One basque player that has already signed with Barcelona is Iñigo Martínez, the basque player comes from Bilbao having played 2 cup finals and 2 Supercup finals having won one of them back in 2021.
Manchester United
After finishing third behind Arsenal and Machester City, the Red Devils are in the hunt for new players to add to their squad. An amazing signing would be Harry Kane also rumoured with Madrid but Tottenham Hotspur has made clear that if they sell their captain he wouldn’t go to a rival. Another player that has been rumoured with United is Neymar JR after he left Barcelona for Paris he hasn’t been able to give back to the French team what Paris paid for the Brazilian star (222M€). Only winning leagues and cups the farthest PSG was able to achieve in Europe was a Champions League final where they lost against Bayern Munich in Lisbon. One of Manchester’s nightmares is its defence, players like Maguire and Lindelof didn’t live up to what they were expected and after last summer United bought Varane and in winter Casemiro their defence still has a lot to improve. Another interesting signing could be Kobel, Borussia Dortmund’s goalkeeper. David de Gea isn’t that sure after 12 seasons, Red Devils legends like Roy Keane believe they need a new goalie: “Move him on quickly”.

PSG
PSG’s future is the most uncertain, Leo Messi has just left to play for Inter Miami and rumours about the squad aren’t the best. Without a coach after Galtier was sacked Paris is facing a really moved summer. Yesterday we received that Mbappé sent an ultimatum to the team saying that at the end of his contract, he would not continue for the French team. PSG are not willing to let the French star leave for free so rumours indicate that Paris will sell Mbappé to the best buyer. As we talked Neymar’s future is also in the air as he isn’t sure Paris is the best team for his career and Manchester United is in pole position for the Brazilian star. After all this mess in PSG attackers, the team is already searching for substitutes as Wilfred Zaha could arrive for free in the French capital. Another important signing could be Manuel Ugarte as Fabrizio Romano already gave him the “Here We Go” PSG will pay 60 million € for the Uruguayan midfielder. Last but not least Spanish winger Marco Asensio also received Fabrizio Romano’s Here We Go with PSG and will sign for the French team.
Bayern Munich
The German league winner’s future is in the air after signing Tuchel mid-season after Nagelsman was sacked after losing to Leverkusen 2-1, Tuchel wasn’t able to win against Manchester City in the Champions League. Rumours of a new striker such as Julian Álvarez go around Munich. With the possible transfer of Kimmich to Barcelona, Bayern would try to sign Conference League winner Declan Rice as he said that he is not staying at West Ham. One signing that is official is Konrad Laimer has already signed for free for Bayern. The German midfielder comes for free after 6 seasons at Leipzig.
