The Denver Nuggets were patient with Jamal Murray after he suffered a series of injuries that kept him away from the court.
That patience has paid off now that Murray has helped the team reach the 2023 NBA Finals.
He’s been on a tear during the 2023 playoffs run, earning more and more praise by the day.
Murray is one of the top talents in the league right now, and Paul Pierce recently called him the best point guard in the league.

Controversial as usual, Pierce drew a lot of reactions with his take, and plenty of fans had something to say about this.
He isn’t better than Luka, Dame, Steph, Ja, and there is probably a few more

We just give everybody the same position names. Murray isn’t a PG at all 🤦🏽♂️

Jamal Murray is one of my favorite players but he is not the best. He deserves a top 5 convo tho

Truth be told, Murray is playing the best basketball of his career.
He wasn’t expected to return to this level after he tore the ACL in his left knee in 2021.
The rehab wasn’t easy, let alone fast, but Murray and his team were patient.
They’re now on the brink of becoming NBA champions.
He made history during the 2023 NBA Finals, becoming the first player to record 10 or more assists in his first four Finals games.
He also became the third player to record 12 or more assists in a Finals game with zero turnovers.
With players like Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving, Ja Morant, and others, Murray has a lot of competition in being named the best, but there’s no doubt he belongs in the conversation.
